![]() ![]() she was sympathetically portrayed as a great protective force who stuck to her brand of morals. ![]() she is incredibly strong, hard-working, determined, committed and selfless. i’m just going to say the slow burn and build-up was every bit of perfect! □□ diana and dallas’ relationship was so beautifully written, it felt incredibly realistic. mz always knows how to gradually build-up the friendship and chemistry in a way that grabs hold of you and doesn’t let go to the very end. this story is so raw, emotional and beautiful, i loved every second of it. what can i say about this book?! i don’t have the words to convey how beautiful this was, it deserves all the love and praise in the entire world. this book was definitely more emotionally heavy compared to other mz books i’ve read, this story is going to stick with me for a long time. IS EVERYTHING TO ME AND IT IS NOW EQUAL TOP 1 WITH KULTI!! the way it had me crying, laughing, swooning and biting my nails the entire read, it is an emotional roller-coaster but truly heartwarming. i was craving a good slow burn, so of course i had to turn to miss mz to give me just that, and i am so glad i did. IF THERE IS ONE THING MZ KNOWS HOW TO DO, IT IS TO GET ME OUT OF THE BIGGEST BOOK SLUMP IVE BEEN IN FOR MONTHS!!! ”i always thought you looked like mine, but you sure do fucking feel like you’re mine, too” I love Zapata’s writing so much and this book was another win! “What do you want from me?” Diana Casillas happens to be Sal Casillas cousin (Kulti) and Vanessa’s best friend (Wall of Winnipeg and Me). But it was also never letting them make that choice, either.Īlso, lovers of Zapata’s other works will be happy to see some fabulous cameos. You didn’t know what love was until someone was willing to give up what they loved the most for you. ![]() Someone who loved you would face any inconvenience willingly. Someone who loved you would do what’s best for you they’d stand up for you and sacrifice. Diana was selfless and amazing and Dallas was such a stand-up guy. I loved the connection Dallas and Diana had. And now she has new neighbors… one of them being Dallas Walker. It’s been two years though, and she finally feels settled to some extent. She loves her nephews more than anything and would do anything for them, but the transition has not been easy for her. It had Zapata’s signature slow burn romance, it had a strong heroine, a hero with a heart of gold, and some awesome kids to top it off.ĭiana Casillas went from awesome aunt to single mom almost overnight. I guess thank goodness there are always re-reads! I’m sure I’ll be re-reading many in my future! Wait for It had so much I love in a book. Her books are so fantastic, and I’ve always looked forward to having a new one to read or listen to. ![]() Why you ask? This is the last Mariana Zapata book I had to read, and it made me sad. “You can’t always wait for someone else to do the right thing when you can do it yourself.”Īfter finishing Wait for It, I cried a bit. Thus, overall this was a super solid read - and I did enjoy it - and I look forward to her next release. Zapata.Īnd the characters of Josh and Louie were to die for. It has the slow burn build that we have come to expect from Ms. I don't know if I was just expecting another Winnipeg, thus leaving this book feeling like less in comparison, or what. Okay - revise! - BECAUSE I'm a trashy whore.ĭallas' non-marriage felt like a super flimsy hurdle on their road to relationshipville, in my opinion.Ĭall me crazy, but being that he and his non-wife got married for.administrative reasons, were barely actually together, and had been separated for years?Īs I said, it just felt a little flimsy to me. I didn't feel the palpable, magnetic pull between them that I did with the other couples.Īnd, overall, the story just didn't draw me in the way the those other two books did.īelieve me, I know this is an unpopular opinion to have.Īnd ***spoilers*** maybe I'm a trashy whore. The WHAT being that I just didn't feel connection between Diana and Dallas that I felt between Van & Aiden and Sal & Kulti. So I have no actual idea what I am about to write here. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.Īt our last house, I had a door mat that said "GO AWAY."īut Sir Handyman convinced me to lessen the mean and get one that says the ever cliche "Wipe Your Paws" at our new digs.Īs I said, I am not feeling the Christmas spirit today. ![]()
